Covid-19 Update

26 October 2021 Update

Dear Market supporters:

We are pleased that we are re-opening to all stallholder types at all our markets from this weekend (Sat 30th and Sun 31st October) but with some limits on stallholder numbers. The market layouts may look a little different to previously, this is to accommodate better physical distancing where required.

Our staff have done an amazing job in managing all our markets through the lockdown periods. Most visitors have been great, however there were a few who were not. Our team has the right to feel safe when working and to feel supported in carrying out the duties expected of them to operate the market. The emotional toll over the past 20 months has been high, and the mental health and wellbeing of my team is our number one priority.

HELP keep us open and please HELP us comply with Government directives:

Follow all DHHS guidelines which includes but not limited to:

• Maintain physical distancing from others.

• Check in using our QR codes located around the market and at each stallholder site.

• Be respectful of our staff and your fellow visitors

Thank you for your patience, please follow our socials and website for updates on market dates and we are looking forward to less stressful times in our “Covid normal” markets.

Regards

29 September 2021 Update

Dear Market supporters:

I firstly wanted to thank you all for the support while we remained open, As many of you are aware, our social enterprises are the single largest funder to our DVCS emergency relief programs, which as you can imagine have seen unprecedented demand through this crisis.

However, with the current restrictions and limited stalls on each market, our markets do not contribute financially to the organisation. Despite this, we are still willing to proceed to support our great stallholders and our staff within the restriction guidelines at the time. Right now, it is more important than ever that community stick together.

Our staff have done an amazing job in managing this. Despite most visitors being great, there were some who were not. Our team has the right to feel safe when working and to feel supported in carrying out the duties expected of them to operate the market. The emotional toll has been high, and the mental health and wellbeing of my team is our number one priority.

To keep us open please Help us comply with Government directives:

• While take-away food may be available it should be consumed OFFSITE.

• Wear a mask (unless genuinely exempt)

• Shop within 15Km of home.

• Maintain social distancing.

• Check in using our QR code.

• You cannot remove your mask to eat or drink in retail settings

• Only one person per household can leave home to get necessary goods and services. (Exceptions apply)

Once again thank you for your patience please follow our Socials and website for updates on market dates and conditions.  And we are looking forward to less stressful times when we can run “normal” markets.
